Principal – Mr. Timm
Alleluia! Christ has risen!  Yes, this is the glorious message of the Easter season. Christ rose from the dead on Easter morning illustrating His victory over sin, death, and the devil. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior, we will have eternal life in heaven.
Danville Lutheran School exists for the main purpose of sharing the Gospel message with our students and their families. We, as teachers and staff members, have the opportunity to share our faith through our words and our actions. It is not enough just to tell the story of Jesus and God’s love but we must LIVE it each and every day. We must SHOW that Christ lives in our hearts as we interact with the students daily. We emphasize God’s unconditional love for us shown through the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ. We teach God’s forgiveness for our daily sins and shortcomings.
Danville Lutheran School has started the registration process for the 2016-2017 school year. We open our doors to our church members and to the community of Danville. The members of Immanuel and Trinity congregations continue to strongly support Lutheran education as they have for many, many years. Please take the time to share the mission of Danville Lutheran School with your family, friends, and neighbors. Our mission is to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ while enabling students to be spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically prepared for the lifelong service to God and their fellow man.
This month our teachers are sharing with you how technology is being used in our classrooms. The field of technology changes rapidly and our children are exposed to it at an early age. Read to discover how our teachers are using technology in their classrooms.

Prekindergarten – Mrs. Heidle
Technology in the preschool classroom is somewhat limited. We use our CD player almost daily. We love to listen to stories on CD's. Our favorites are the Pete the Cat collection and Dinosaurs Wear Underpants. Our classroom has a great selection of God's Time CD's that we liked to sing with. We just used our computer to listen to songs suggested by Mrs. Wells for March Music Month. We enjoyed getting up and moving to the beat. We voted on which music/songs we liked best from classical, jazz, rock and roll and country.

Prekindergarten – Mrs. Robinson
There are layers in the forest yes indeed! Yes indeed! Our classroom has been converted to a tropical Rainforest.  The children have learned about the emergent, canopy, understory and forest floor layers.  What do they look like? What animals and plants live there?  Leaf cutter ants, red eyed tree frogs, pythons, sloths, butterflies and flowers have been artistically designed by the children.  The butterflies and flowers remind us of Easter.  We have new life in Jesus because of his death and resurrection.  Praise be to God for His creation and plan for salvation!
